Add RS-232 DCE serial communications support to a desktop or laptop computer and resolve DCE/DTE conflicts directly without the need for additional cross-wired serial cables or adapters.

Serial Port Expansion
The 3.3ft (1m) Null Modem USB Serial Adapter adds an RS-232 serial DB/DE-9 (female) connector to a desktop or laptop via a USB Type-A port. Secure the adapter to a serial device, using pre-installed and removable slotted D-Sub thumbscrews or install the included DB-9 Nuts for compatibility with other serial peripheral devices or cables.

LED Indicators
Data transmission and reception LED indicators on the adapter provide real-time monitoring of port activity. The USB LED indicates when the adapter has successfully enumerated on the desktop or laptop. All the LEDs aid with diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Seamless Connectivity
The adapter is compatible with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and Linux. Drivers automatically install to Windows 7 and newer versions, macOS 10.15 and above, and Linux. The USB to RS-232 adapter features COM retention, which automatically reassigns the COM port value if the cable is disconnected and reconnected, or if the system is rebooted.

The rugged TPE construction and Level-4 ESD protection (15kV air and 8kV contact) enhance the reliability and longevity of the USB to Serial Adapter. Copper shielding minimizes Electromagnetic and Radio Frequency Interference (EMI and RFI). Gold-plated connectors enhance signal conductivity.
