Thanks to outstanding Powerline technology at speeds up to 2 Gbps, the full power of your Internet connection is transmitted directly into any room over the electrical wiring. It doesn't matter how many terminal devices you or your loved ones have online. Thanks to multi-user MIMO technology, multiple terminal devices are supplied with a higher transfer rate at the same time. For maximum connectivity, Magic 2 WiFi next is also equipped with two additional Gigabit LAN ports.

devolo Magic adapters are compatible with all routers, network devices, devolo Magic adapters and products certified by HomeGrid Forum. dLAN® Powerline adapters and other HomePlug AV products, including the devolo Outdoor WiFi Powerline adapter, are not supported.

Strong mesh network prevents connection interruptions

Once activated, all Magic 2 WiFi next adapters form a joint mesh network that always keeps you connected to the strongest Wi-Fi signal without interruptions. And it doesn't matter how many people in the household are online at the same time. Thanks to multi-user MIMO technology, the signal is optimally distributed to all terminal devices. As a result, even applications that require a great deal of data are no longer a problem – get full performance from your home network and simply enjoy better entertainment at home!

Of course, the new Magic 2 WiFi next also features an extremely secure data encryption based on the banking standard and the G.hn integrated gigabit home network standard.

Multi-user MIMO technology

More often than not, you use multiple end devices in your Wi-Fi network, such as a smartphone, tablet, smart TV or a game console. This can present a real challenge for your Wi-Fi network – it has to regulate the distribution of data streams from the Wi-Fi access point (e.g. router, devolo device) to the end devices. If you use a Wi-Fi access point with multi-user MIMO technology, you will no longer need to worry. Multi-user MIMO technology makes it possible for your devolo device to supply your smartphone, tablet and other devices with data streams simultaneously – at the speed you require and at an efficient transfer rate.

What does that mean for you? Thanks to Multi-user MIMO technology, you can finally enjoy using the Internet without long wait times during online gaming, sporadic drop-outs while streaming in HD or slow downloads.

Access point steering

In many Wi-Fi networks, the end devices decide for themselves which network they should connect to. In particular, older smartphones, tablets and the like will remain connected to their Wi-Fi access point (e.g. router, devolo device) until the signal gets interrupted. Only then will they switch to a new Wi-Fi access point with better reception.

The Access Point Steering function enhances your Wi-Fi access point by adding intelligent network optimisation. This function actively helps your end devices connect to the optimal network access point. If the Wi-Fi access point identifies another Wi-Fi access point within your own network that has a stronger signal and better reception, it redirects the end device to that point automatically.

Internet in any room at full speed

Our Powerline adapters ensure that your Internet signal takes the fastest transmission path – your power line. The power line is used to distribute the Internet signal over multiple floors and to any room without losing speed due to thick walls. This means that any power socket is turned into a high-performance Wi-Fi access point with speeds up to 1200 Mbps.
